Whats good Cali ? We been tradionaly known for our low low's when ya think of the rides we mob. Times are changing, just meet DONK 916. What you know bout tha folks Googie and his 1985 442 cutlass, and yes it is a REAL 442!! He bought the car from the original owner, a old man out of sacramento. "I let it sit for about a year 1/2 and started workin on it about 6 or 7 months ago".says googoe. First thing first the whole thing was stripped. From there came the custom 442, the 87 euro front clip, and the lambo doors. Then on to Highlands Upholstery to get re-upholsterd. Nothing like black guts with red inserts, all red stitching and 442 embroidered in the headrest. All the wood grain was changed to red and a red grant steering wheel was put on, a fiber glass center console with a BnM shifter and a 7 inch TV molded in it for the people in the back. Now for the paint and body. Originally the car was black with silver on the bottom and gold decals. When it came to picking a color scheme it had to be sporty.Googie went with a color called super red with the black bottom and sivler decals. When I asked Googie about the bigg boy rims and tires he said "I picked um up from a lil rim shop in stockton, they are 28 inch Jesse James "Law Less" and they were made to fit, so there five lugg none of that hummer 8 lugg bull shit."Ok.. so 28's. How does that fit? A lift..thas how! A shop in the sunrise area of sacramento called Performance Car and Truck, they do all the 4x4 truck lifts. This one was the first donk they ever done. When it came to parts it was all about Race Runner coil over springs in the front and standard coils in the back, Jeep strait axel in the front with a custom 4 link suspensions to hold everything together. Its about a fifteen inch lift with no cut or any rub. This car can still do U turns like it was stock. An last but not least, all the beat and TVs. Inside there is a stock replacement dash 3 inch and Power series Fosgate 6x9s in the back dash, a fiber glass door pods for 2 sets of power series Fostgate components,in the trunk their is a custom fiber glass box painted to match for 4 12 inch T1 power series Fosgate subwoofers w/ 2 1500.1 Fosgate pushin that, and a bd8004 pushin all the mids and highs, as well as a 17 inch flip down TV the 7 inch TV molded in the console and a 7 inch in dash monitor. Big upps to EPICENTER CAR AUDIO AND SECURITY on fair oaks and manzanita... thats where most the work got done.Till next time. Peace out!
