KLARRISSA KYLEMODELName: Klarrissa Kyle Age: 21 Measurements:34-24-36 Nickname(s): Klair, Klair Bear Brief history: I started getting into modeling at the age of 16, and I have stuck with it ever since. I a have a huge long resume of things I have done and I have a huge list of things that I have coming up. My most recent modeling news is that I just signed with agency! I am really excited! And look forward to all the traveling, experience and people I get to meet! WU: You sound like a female version of me staying busy! Hustlin! Does that interfere with anything else that you have going on in your life or have you learned to balance it all? KK: I have pretty much learned how to balance it all, I do well organizing my time. But it does get over whelming and very stressful at times. But one thing it does interfere with is my dating life. Ha WU: Modeling is a competitive business. There are so many beautiful women out there with so many things to offer. How are you able to separate yourself from the rest and get out there? KK: Oh my goodness I know, there are so many beautiful women out there! One thing I learned is you cant compare yourself to others, it gets you no where. I am confident in who I am and what I have to offer. I have more then just looks regardless of peoplEs misconceptions on how models are or act. I am a go getter, business minded, professional, creative, smart, and very dedicated because this is something I truly want to do. When I meet with people they see that and are really impressed. Im a real person; I do not hide behind a fake exterior. WU: What do you think is the most important characteristic for a model to have besides looks? KK: To be professional at all times! Being unprofessional can really hurt your chances in your career and burn bridges. Take it seriously and be aware of your surroundings. To many girls, especially ones just starting out in the business get caught up in bad situations or end up getting taken advantage of. Never compromise your goals or morals just to get somewhere. WU: Being a businesswoman, is that what you look for in a man? Someone thats about his business? KK: Yes in addition to someone who is confident (not arrogant), smart, kind and has a good sense of humor ( I love to laugh), I want a man who has goals in life that he is perusing, someone who has his own life and friends and isnt wanting to be with me 24/7. I want someone who is trustworthy and not jealous. I need someone who is not jealous obviously because I model and I am around men a lot, plus I like to go out with my girls and have a good time with out my man every once in awhile. WU: So I hear you are working on a mens clothing line. Can you give us a little sneak preview and let us know what the style is? What kind of man are trying to connect with? KK: Yes I am! I have a womens line too but not sure if I want to make it available because I really dont want the girls wearing the same things as meJ The style of the mens line is dressy casual with a touch of urban and skate. You can wear it on the street and in the clubs. The line is going to be affiliated with the extreme sports company I started, so most of it will be comfortable enough to skate or ride in. I am trying to appeal to all men, anyone who has a great sense of style. Its a look all different types of men can pull off. Ill have something for the extreme sports goers, the rockers, the hip hopers, the preps etc. There is nothing sexier then a well dressed man, who better to design your clothes then a female? Since I know what the ladies like. WU: So is modeling something you hope to make a career in or are you just doing it in the meantime? KK: Its something I definitely hope to make a career of. Its my passion; I love it more then anything. I knew this was something I wanted to do since I was 3 years old! I was always performing and posing in front of the camera. But if it doesnt work out for me its ok. I have my foot in the door on all different kinds of things; I have many goals and aspirations in life that dont have to do with modeling. WU: What is the one thing you look back on now and say even though it was bad, Im glad I went through that. One of those hard knocks that just open your eyes to something. KK: Being made fun of when I was younger because I was bi-racial. I would get picked on by some African Americans, they would always tell me I wasnt really black or that I needed to decide if I wanted to be black or white. I would also get picked on by some Caucasians. To them I am black so I would be called racial slurs, you know how that goes. Not everyone was like that to me of course but enough were to make me feel bad, and hate being me. I always felt so stuck like neither side would accept me. And that my race was the only thing people noticed about me, like being me was something negative. But as I got older I learned to accept myself for who I was and that it didnt matter what others think. I was glad I was the way I am. Now when I hear comments about it, it doesnt bother me at all. It just made me a stronger person and taught me to never judge anyone based on appearances, whether it be race or the way they dress etc. WU: In the future, do you hope to be more on the business side of things or in the spotlight? KK: I still hope to do both, but I want to be less involved on the business side, I just want to give ideas and delegate things and have someone run things for me. I love performing so I would love to stay in the spotlight. WU: Any last words. KK: I just want to thank my family and friends for their love and support. It gives me the strength I need! I cant even express how much it means to me. And a big shout out to Tim, thanks so much for this opportunity and everything else! I wish you the best of luck in your entertainment career! |
